Location | Contact Solutions to Star in Bal Seal Engineering’s Aaos Broadcast
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – February 25th, 2009 – Visitors to YouTube and www.balseal.com will get an exclusive look at some of the sealing, connecting, conducting and shielding solutions featured at this year’s American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons event, thanks to an upcoming video broadcast produced by Bal Seal Engineering, Inc.
Bal Seal, a global provider of custom-engineered solutions to medical device manufacturers, will be recording a digital video “report” during the AAOS event, which runs February 25th-28th at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The resulting broadcast will provide viewers with some information about the show and a snapshot of Bal Seal’s offerings for orthopedic applications. It will be made available through YouTube and in the “Video on Demand” (VOD) section of the company’s Website on Thursday, February 26th.
According to Bal Seal Marketing and New Business Development Director Bill Nissim, the upcoming broadcast represents the “next logical step” in communicating the effectiveness of his company’s solutions to a wider audience.
“Video is fast becoming the dominant communication medium for us,” says Nissim, “mostly because it offers us the ability to quickly capture the attention and imagination of our potential customers. We’ve developed unique animations that show our products at work, and now we’re taking a similar, more visual approach to our presence at industry events as well.” Nissim points to a similar video, shot by Bal Seal at the recent Medical Design & Manufacturing West show and carried by several notable trade magazine sites, as evidence of the medium’s popularity.
Bal Seal’s broadcast will feature commentary from Brian Carter, a Territory Sales Manager with over a decade of experience in the medical device industry. Carter will provide viewers with information about the show’s location and audience, and he’ll elaborate on the spring and seal applications featured in a dynamic medical device animation sequence at the Bal Seal exhibit, #4670.
Among the featured applications will be the conceptual design of a ball-and-socket type carpometacarpal (CMC) device used to replace diseased or arthritic joints and restore movement. In this design, Bal Seal’s medical-grade titanium canted-coil spring is shown to improve rotary motion and minimize the possibility of dislocation.
The digital broadcast, which will also highlight connecting and sealing solutions in ultrasound transducer and insulin pump applications, will be available for viewing on YouTube and in the company’s online mediaroom at http://mediaroom.balseal.com/vod beginning Thursday, February 26th at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time (U.S.)
The MD&M show broadcast was posted earlier this month, and it can currently be viewed at http://mediaroom.balseal.com/node/509
